On this episode of the podcast I interview the class-conscious independent hip-hop duo Drowning Dog and Malatesta. They are a Berlin based musical group that fuses electronic music with a blend of punk, rap and hip hop. The messaging and lyrical content of their music weave themes of anarchism, resistance, class consciousness, solidarity and revolution into a unique working-class sound. On the show we discuss politics, media, class consciousness, solidarity, mutual aid., music and the arts. Drowning Dog and Malatesta are also responsible for the theme music of this podcast. Check out their social media accounts and website for albums, merchandise, upcoming tour dates and shows. Go check out and download their most recent album Gen Pop. You can find their music on many different platforms including Spotify, Iheart, YouTube and Bandcamp. 28 January 2024 – MC
