On this episode of the podcast I interview Leila Charles Leigh @leilacleigh. She is a Hollywood insider, actress, writer producer and podcaster. She was born in Rome, Italy to a Classics professor and sculptor. She moved around a lot during her youth, but still considers New York City her family’s hometown. After graduating from Columbia University with a B.A. in English Literature she moved to Los Angeles, CA, where she lives to this day with her husband and children. Leila has been involved in scores of plays, TV shows and films, including Kids in America, Dexter, Conception, The Hungover Games and Jigsaw. She also co-hosts a weekly podcast called the Punch Up Pod with her good friend Pat the Berner, which is sometimes described as Drunk History meets the Daily Show. On today’s show we discuss Hollywood, art, movies, politics, capitalist dystopia, the two-party system, revolution and working class solidarity, among other topics. 10 August 2023 – MC
